Concerned with unfulfilled promises of the future and social discomfort, Julie Legault’s design research manifests in wearable objects investigating the boundaries of the self, society and technology.  These objects, inspired by fashion and product designers, address the understanding of the language of identity-creation and the projected self.

Following her Master’s in the Goldsmithing & Jewellery department at the Royal College of Art, she taught, made and researched near-future jewellery, object fetichism and inclusive design at BIAD. Her current focus is on wearable psychophysiology and emotional synchrony whilst at the Media Lab (MIT) in Cambridge, MA.
