Heidi Hinder is the Craft + Technology resident at Bristol’s Pervasive Media Studio. Drawing on degree studies in Jewellery & Silversmithing, and a residency at the Royal Mint, Heidi’s research project Money No Object, explores concepts of value, and raises questions about the impact of digital technology on future payment methods. Using wearable devices and physical gesture as a means of transaction, Heidi’s design interactions highlight money as a bond, while at the same time, offer a more enriching mode of exchange, where social economics become the new currency.

Heidi’s jewellery and sculptural objects have been exhibited internationally and acquired for several major art collections, including the British Museum and the V&A.
