Annalisa Simonella is a designer creating garments that respond to climate and social context with the purpose of making the wearer feel physically and psychologically comfortable.

During her 12-year career as an architectural engineer, she specialised in the design of innovative and sustainable facades to respond to climate and occupants’ comfort. Drawing from this experience, she explores the similarities between the building envelope and the personal envelope by focusing on the adaptive, multi-functional and technological characteristics of clothing.

Concerned with the fragility of the environment and the deterioration of social condition, Annalisa opposes the current waste and consumerist culture by creating new concepts to reduce the drive to buy frequently. She promotes her work under the name allenomis.
